Haunted Themes I'm Wanting to Explore

Echoes of the past: Victorian to 1920s terror

My haunted dollhouse will be a chilling time capsule, reflecting elements from Victorian, Edwardian and all the way through to the1920s. I have in my head a very old home, occupied for decades, but abandoned suddenly sometime in the 1920's.  I don't want anything more modern than that.  Imagine a place where time has stood still, yet horror lingers in every forgotten corner. I'm excited to incorporate ghosts, eerie easter eggs from horror movies I love, and a general sense of undisturbed creepiness, as if you've stumbled upon a scene you shouldn't have.

Inspired by fear: Gothic horror and film

My inspiration springs from the dark depths of gothic horror and a collection of chilling films. The haunting atmosphere of "The Others," or "Malevolent", The unsettling presence of "It," and "Welcome to Derry" and the faded glory of "Ready or Not". I'm also a fan of "Ghost Adventurers," along with other "ghost" shows what show abandoned areas, dirt, dust, decay. Look, if it's a horror movie with spooky locales, I'm looking at it.
